With my allergies and asthma acting up, sleep has been hard to come by. Perhaps that's what's been causing me to have odd dreams when I finally do get some shuteye. Perhaps it's also a concoction of all these asthma and allergy medications going to work in ways the prescription label would never give warning to. Either way the dream or nightmare happened. I'm not sure how to categorize it so make of it what you will. The best I can do is recount to you the most vivid and murky details for your reading.
It all started when I was finally able to clear out my sinuses and lungs in the middle of the night. I was able to breathe again and with each breath the sleepiness filled every fiber of my being. The limbs grew heavy, the eyes felt better closed and at last I was relaxed and on my way to the deepest slumber I've had in quite sometime.
Awakening in Dreamland
I found myself walking through what seemed to be a carnival on a crisp autumn night. I was with friends but I have never seen these individuals before. All around us were adult oriented amusements. Performers right out of Cirque De Sole displayed amazing feats while go go dancers worked their rhythmic magic in cages. Their bodies were bathed in neon and black lights exposing every sensual curve a man could want in a woman's anatomy. Before me to my left were fire breathers and to my right was a sword swallower. The spectacle around us was a celebration of the erotic, bold and unusual. There were rides but none of them captured my interest. And while there wasn't a haunted house, there was something else you could explore for a fee......
The Girlfriend Room
Man at the Gate: Step up to the girlfriend room boys!! Don't be shy!!! Meet and interact with the girl of your dreams!!!
He gestures to the wall behind him and the lights hit revealing a dozen gorgeous women from lands far and wide. They're dressed very hip, sexy, edgy but not slutty. There's just the right hint of sexual aggression to them. One blows me a kiss.
The members of my party gasp in amazement. Before I know it they're all gone. They've disappeared into the girlfriend room. No one left but me and the man at the gate.
Man at the Gate: Hi there!
Me: Hi......
Man at the Gate: I think you want a trip to the girlfriend room!
(he gives a big smile revealing perfect teeth that have been whitened a bit too much)
Me: What's really going on in there?
Man at the Gate: An experience that's just like being with your girlfriend. ANYTHING can happen. It's just like the real thing!!!
Me: Give me an idea of what anything is.
Man at the Gate: Do I have to spell this out for you boy? You seem like a fit young man. You have a girlfriend now?
Me: No not at the moment.
Man at the Gate: Think about the time when you did. Think about what you and her did a lot of. We can make that happen for you all over again. Whadda ya say? We've got Julie from London, Angeline from Paris, Miroko from Tokyo and Samantha from right here in the good old US of A.
Me: Where are we?
Man at the Gate: Where would you like to be?
Me: I.....I don't know.
Man at the Gate: You seem a little lost....why don't you let me help you find your way. We'll set you on the right path kiddo. Trust me, I got a knack for this.
Just then he starts leading me into the gate and toward the girlfriend room.
Man at the Gate: Been awhile since you've been.....you know....involved.
Me: Yeah, I work better on my own.
Man at the Gate: We'll see about that kiddo. You need some action. And who doesn't want action from the likes of these beauties?
I take a look at them all standing there. Total perfection. So much so I think that I'm beginning to salivate.
Man at the Gate: Trust me. Every man needs this once and awhile. It'll be good for you!!! Step on in and I'll have a girl ready for you.
Me: How much is this?
Man at the Gate: On the house! But the house picks the girl! It'll be great. Get comfortable.
And with that I head into the girlfriend room. There's a couch and bar for me to wait and get comfortable. I notice an intercom on the wall by the bar. It clicks on and a green light flashes.
It's the GIRLFRIEND!
Girlfriend: Hey cutie. I'll be down in just a second.
The wait would soon be over and our real adventure would begin. But what would that adventure be? How close to real thing would it resemble? Who was the woman that would come down to greet me?
Ladies and gentleman we are about to embark on a journey of my deepest fears and desires when it comes to the game of love and war. Yes, that's right!! You're going to know all you need to know! You want it? You will have it. You want to know what happens next with this story? Fine, I'll tell you that too!
But not tonight.
(closes his eyes and shakes his head)
No, no, no......not tonight. Shhhhhhhhh my dear readers. Shhhhhhh. You're just not ready for it yet! And when you are I will reveal it here, on this blog, for your reading pleasure and consumption. I promise you that.
Until then......
This is Ricardo......and the blog is.........U N L O A D E D..............

20 PEOPLE HAVE UNLOADED:
ok, I've taken the bait.....
Those allergy medicines! So far seems more dream than nightmare... awaiting part 2 eagerly.
You stay with the cliffhangers. I'LL BE BACK!!!
Okay, here is some info on lucid dreams--was this one? You have good recall, but did you feel you had influence on how it would take place. Because if you did, you may have been astral traveling in your sleep and that person may be real.
Most of those dream encyclopedias are not worth your money, but there are a few narratives that are interesting. Anyway, here is some possible symbolism--do with it what you like--
You were at a carnival where you could have simulated flying, a big deal in dreams, but you turned it down out of disinterest. It also could be fear, not just of the ride itself, but where the flight would take you.
Since you arrive somewhere or are given safe passage, this would be a journey dream as you indicated. Travel can mean a path to enlightenment and personal happiness that had never occured to you before. If it is difficult, you then see your obstacles in life. The mode of travel is important--water and flying suggest certain pursuits, but this is a ground dream, almost an underworld dream. The man at the gate is what psychics call the gatekeeper--he is also important in shamanism for soul travel and even trying to reach the other side for mediums. Since your are not lost, you are fairly secure in what you want.
Sexual dreams mean all sorts of things; a lot of us dream things we didn't even know we had thought. But you haven't gotten that far. So I will reserve judgment.
Aren't you sorry that I visit your page?
Nurse - Good! This is a good one.
SJ- It is rather dreamy so far isn't it?
Urban - I know you love these.
Enemy - I can't expound on these point and give away the ending. But I am intrigued about this astral travel you speak of. Do tell us all more.
LOL!!! Now I'm curious. Don't you dare make me wait more than a few days.
Okay...it's like a little film...I'll bite. Funny thing: I've also been taking some meds that wake me up through the night, and thus I've been having a stream of very weird dreams myself. Or maybe I ALWAYS have weird dreams but usually slept through them. Maybe the bruisedmuse will post one too.
Great meeting you last night at the "bloggers summit." Loved your comment on my blog. Yes, to ascend to what I call the "zone" in which your characters begin to speak for themselves is one of the reasons people write fiction, I think. The desire to achieve that creative high keeps you going. It's like a drug. Nothing is better than that. I remember the glorious moment when I finally realized that Seth, a minor early character in my novel "Saving Elijah," wasn't working, and then realized that he wasn't a live character but a dead one, ie, a ghost...well, once I realized that...I had not only my Faustian plot but I also had Seth's dialogue. It was as if his dialogue was being revealed to me moment by moment. As if I were taking dictation from the universe. As if he had always existed in some other dimension and I only had to listen to hear when he was saying. What a feeling! This sort of thing doesn't happen often but when it does...ohhhhh!
Good post. I use Rum to clear my nose. You can either drink a little to clear your throat, or breath in through your nose....The guatemalans recommend it actually.
Enemy of The Republic, and others having lucid dreams? I buy into a lot. I also believe we really are switching into a different phase, or the beginning a new cycle....of the FOOL. It is the first card of Tarot. I have noticed that a lot of people are having better control, or more lucid dreams. That is part of the shift. Call me nuts, but I believe strongly in this.
Peace and Freedom
Marsha - I won't disappoint you.
Bruisedmuse - I totally know what you mean. Every once and a while there is that odd character that does not seem to fit in but actually does in a way that you haven't yet realized. When you do figure it out it's not just a whole new door that opens it's a whole other layer to the story that you never knew was there. And then there is there's this whole new plain of fertile ground to work with. The feeling can't be put into words.
AHB - I don't think you're nuts at all. there are so much to dreams that they must have a deeper meaning to them right?
OK, I'll stay tuned for the sequel. Film at 11.
Part II is on the way I assume!
BTW, do you dream in black & white or Technicolor?
Hey at least these allergy medications and crazy dreams are making for one hell of a good read!!
Tom - It's a very odd series of images. Keep it locked here.
SSN - You bet it's on the way. And all of my dreams are usually in full technicolor.
Meleah - You like that? Eh?
(clasps hands behind head and thrusts them in and out in a vulgar and sexually overt manner then runs away)
There is a very good book on Astral Travel by Donald Tyson. I also found another by Sapphire about astral sex! (Better than down here it claims.)
Astral travel is this: our bodies are not only physical, they have an astral entity that is part of your aura. It is that part of you that communicates with the spirit world; it is the part that experiences deja vu; it essentially has no limits on time or space. So it has endless opportunities to be at other places--some people call it the phenomenon of being in two places at the same time. Our conscious mind is not open to it unless we are hypnotized, meditating or simply spiritually super enlightened. So for most people, astral travel happens when one sleeps as the unconscious mind takes over and releases the fear of the unknown--we are more suggestable. It often happens without us realizing it or having control over it (think about Luke confronting Darth Vader the first time--he knew the Force but couldn't control it). Some people train themselves to astrally project.
Let's say I've known it to happen. Enemy out.
Yow! On the info that enemy gave - very interesting and something I've pondered. I know there are people that work on intentionally projecting themselves (I've read about them, don't know anyone who has tried or done it).
When I was younger I'd have lucid dreams - it was almost a regular type of dreaming! I hadn't quite gotten the hang of it - I remember thinking, "Hey! I'm in a dream! This means I can do anything!" and then I tried to fly but I ended up just sorta "hovering" about 3 feet off the ground and parallel to it.
Sheesh. My self-imposed limitations - even in the dreamworld!
But back to your GF room dream - whew! The gatekeeper/barker guy and having "the house" pick the girl...it really seemed like more than a dream...
It can be very scary to be offered "your heart's desire" or something along those lines when you aren't sure what your desire is.
That's a pretty cool dream (so far...)with tons of symbolism!! I haven't had a decent dream (that I remember) in a while. The subconscious mind is kinda trippy, isn't it?
I'm Looking forward to learning about the woman about to greet you..
Enemy -Astral sex eh? that I would be up for trying. Do I need another to also be dreaming or can I make up my own Playboy centerfold?
Considering some of the more heavy dreams I had, I think there is merit to this theory. The mind is doing some amazing things when you sleep. How can I further harness this power?
Will these books provide instructions?
Leah -Yes there are tons of symbols in this one for sure. As not dreaming in a bit, maybe it's a good thing. Stick around and you may or may not see why. :-)
MsQ- You will soon see that things will get more complicated rather soon.
Astral Sex? Sounds interesting. I am going to have to read part two tomorrow. Bed time, Good Night.
AHB - Got to get me some of that Astral sex. LOL! Tell us more ememy!
