Hey guys and gals, just a few things I'd like to mention before carrying on.
THANKS!
I want to give a big thank you to Huckdoll and Marsha for giving me a a nod in the last few weeks on their blogs. Marsha dedicated a very moving song to me by Anthony Skinner called "I Climbed a Mountain." Marsha is going through a recent move, job hunt and managing family of 7! That's a lot on one plate but Marsha was in the military so she's tough. And knowing that this very busy women thought of me during all of this means a great deal to me. Really it does.
Also another big thanks is in order for Huckdoll. I found Huckdoll's blog through a social networking site that I originally had no desire joining. Having found her blog, I'm glad I did. Huckdoll has been put through the ringer in her life as well but has found a great husband and has some wonderful kids. She hides nothing and I like that about her. She also has no reservations in telling people off if they're rubbish. So how could I not be relived by her rousing endorsement of my own blog on her site. It's great to get a nod from another blogger for doing good work. And good work is what I try to do here. I don't like to be run of the mill and it's both helped and hurt this blog. Could I gain more readers by changing the game plan? Yes. But I won't. I do it my way!!!
MsQ, you always give me a mention so let me thank you as well. MsQ is a lovely woman full of self reaffirming insights and wonderful stories about her family. Please check all of these people out.
And to all of you who take the time to read my work.......THANK YOU!!! I love you all.
ACHTUNG!!!

Is a trip to Germany in the Ricardo's future? I hope so but there's the tricky issue of air
fare.
Accommodations are set as a good blogging friend is willing to put me up. This is a most generous offer that I must seriously consider.
Just think of it.....
Oh, I do believe an exciting adventure awaits your dear blogger in Berlin. If he can get it all to work. Know of any good places to get cheap plane tickets? Unload here!!!!

George Carlin
One last thank you is in order for the late great George Carlin. This man was not just a comic genius, he was a prophet. Really, if there was anyone who could cut through the bullshit in this world it was George. Some say he followed in the footsteps of Lenny Bruce and if that's so then I'd say he took it, made it his own and elevated it to something that we'll never see the likes of again. George, thank you for opening our eyes and making us laugh.
Coming up....
Normalcy
and....
If I had a BB Gun.

23 PEOPLE HAVE UNLOADED:
Das ist geil !
Thanks Ricardo- {Big Hug} Like most other people I take life one day at a time.
I used to hate those networking sites, but they're really helpful in a lot of ways.
Glad you met some great friends and writers through there!
:)
hey ricardo, keep up the blogging brother.....it`s therapy at the keyboard.
networking sites?
Awwww! Thank you for the shout out Ricardo...I just quit that social network for the 2nd and last time, but I'm really happy we found each other through it.
A trip to Germany? Wow. I am curios.
When? Where in Germany? For how long? With you?
Uh?? Because my Hero died today I can't resist. I don't care for sports, but The chick in the picture, I love her footballs.
Peace and Freedom
Huckdoll - No problem at all it was my pleasure to give you a mention. I can understand why you left again. You really don't need it. The need you.
Meleah - I may go in late July to Berlin. I could only do about a week. The accommodations are compliments of Maya Escobar who is doing a film project there.
Deb - Yes you can find one or 2 really cool people and hey, that's better than a room full of assholes.
Dr.A - Thanks my good man. Much appreciated. Networking sites as in Social networking. some of them are on the sidebar of this blog. Check them out. they can't hurt.
AH - Which hero passed away? If you're speaking of George Carlin then I mourn with you and just updated my post to remember a great guy.
I'll be a fan of whatever she wants me to be a fan of. :-)
Marsha - Don't you get discouraged. It's easy to fall into that.
SJ - Indeed!
George Carlin was great. RIP.
I spent 2 months in Berlin a long time ago. I haven't seen much of the rest of Germany. Berlin is a bizarre place; totally unlike any city in the U.S., Germany or anywhere else in Europe.

my thoughts on mr.carlin.
r.i.p.
Ricardo,
Yep, I was talking about that genius philosophical man. He had a way through his humor of opening people's minds, and causing the slightest spark, or flicker. He caused a fire in many minds, and woke a lot of people up to the control of their lives.
As far as the chick on board with you. HELLO MAMA!!!
A trip to Germany? Sounds exciting!
Dr.A - I will check it out.
AH - And the things Mr.Carlin pointed out were so obvious yet we were so blind to see them. That's what always won me over.
Helo mama indeed!
Alf - This may be the opportunity of a lifetime.
Tom - Was if different in a good way or bad? Do tell.
You post made me happy today, because a) I love Germany (although your picture reinforced my feelings of inadequacy and b) I loves me some Huckdoll too.
You are welcome.
I miss George already.
Manager Mom - A woman of your beauty, stature and success should never have feelings of inadequacy. I will hear and read of none this because it's crazy talk. Manager dad, I'm sure, feels very lucky man to be married to a woman like you.
Now on Germany, any travel tips you can share for a young bachelor like myself?
Huckdoll is wonderful. I lover her honesty.
Enemy - I still can't get over it. HBO is running back to back specials he did for them over the years. We may never have a guy like this again.
Ricardo: About Berlin, it's a 24-hours-a-day city, like New York. It has that same electric energy that New York has.
And it's sort of like Los Angeles in that it's spread way out (but it has excellent mass transit). And it has that same transient-rootless quality that L.A. has; a lot of people seem to be originally from other parts of Germany.
It has an odd combination of angst and intensity; it was a fascinating place but I was more than ready to leave. Also, when I was there the Berlin Wall was still up; Berlin was surrounded by East Germany. So there's probably less of that angst and tension now than there was then.
Tom - I can imagine there must have been some serious angst if you were in Berlin back then. It must have been so fascinating to see that but I could understand why you were happy to leave after a week. I'm sure that's let up some now that the wall has collapsed. I'm really hoping I can score a deal the air fare is brutal.
Thanks for the mention! I've been so busy I'm just starting to catch up with your blog.
I did start reading Huckdoll's blog - very nice, managed to leave a couple of my usual wandering around comments.
I hope you make it to Germany. I've never been but it's true what they say about traveling - it expands your mind - there is something about seeing places you've only heard or read about.
MsQ- It's not looking so hot right now but I will persevere.
I was sad to hear about George Carlin...
So, are you going to Berlin???
