Good Times in The Big Apple

I took a swing down to NYC the on Saturday to meet up with fellow blogger Maritza from Jump in the Ocean and her friend and loyal reader of this blog Saadia. Good times were had by all and Chinatown is really like stepping into another world. As for Little Italy, it's pretty much been reduced to a single block. Maybe two. Where art thou, O great spirit of Italy? Come back to the Big Apple.
Discussion was lively and the food was great. But I'll let Maritza fill you in on the rest. She's got some great pictures up. Have a look!
And for the record, I am 203 pounds and have not weighed 175 in years. LOL!
Looking forward to meeting up with you again ladies. Till next time!
Coming up....
The Drive.
Also...
Red hair is sooo sexy.
Then later....
Women really do like to fight more than men, or is it just me?

18 PEOPLE HAVE UNLOADED:
203? come on now!
It was great but let's wait for warmer weather. We all froze our cannolli's!
Yes I weigh 203. Bring out the scale, I'll show ya. That weight was taken 2 months ago at the doctors. Remember, I work out.
I know I will be there in May. Hope you had a good time.
Looks like you had a fun time. If Little Italy were big would it still be Little Italy.
sometimes I really envy people who know bloggers living in the same city as them.
then again, if I did know other bloggers in sydney i would have to leave my computer and go out to have coffee with them and that would cut into my blogging time.
oh I just remembered - I don't drink coffee!
Regardless of your weight Ricardo you are looking good!...and I say that in an older sister kind of way. :)
nice..
i think i am too.. no one believes me..
oh man you were in NYC and I didnt know about it? Thats like 45 minuets away from me... damn. it.
So yer telling us that yer 203 lbs of finely sculpted physique? Dang.
But that is a lotta work.
Hmmm. Do you have a library card?? And do you use aforementioned library card on a regular basis? I'm just ... curious. (Jill will get the joke and you might too if you've read our comments to each other)
I had fun as I was surrounded by friends, food and saucy conversation.
We'll do it again when it warms up as that wind was rough on Saturday.
:)
Lirun - Can we help it if we're more muscle than fat? LOL!
Meleah - Let's set up a city outing in the next few weeks. NYC seems to be the perfect halfway point for many. We should call up Urban thought as well.
Ms.Q - It was a lot of long painful work to get up to 203 pounds. My body does not like to keep on weight. I wouldn't say that I'm TOTALLY sculpted muscle, but I ain't fat either. Fit is a better word. I don't get the library card thing. Explain to us. And where is that Jill?
Saadia - Yes I'm amazed that that guys hairpiece stayed on.
sj - Yeah I supppose you're right.
Enemy - You better come up here. I won't take n for an answe.
Nurse - I think the city of Sydney needs a woman of your beauty and stature making her way about town and attending social events.
Marsha- I know what ya mean. Lol! I'm actually happy about my weight gain. remember, I was once a twig and the butt of jokes. lifting the weights has paid off. thank goodness for that.
AHHHH! And you didn't even call me while in New York? Isn't Chinatown great???
HELL YES. I WOULD LOVE TO MEET UP WITH YOU AND URBAN...THAT WOULD BE AWESOMENESSEST.
(new word)
Awesome! I had a linkup with some Caribbean bloggers and it was a ball. There is a little Italy?
Deb - We will change that soon. Start picking dates.
Meleah - I like the word too. Lets contact Urban. I'll shoot him an email soon.
Leon - Yes within New York City there is a section called Little Italy where many Italians came and settled. It was a vibrant community full of old world Italian goodness because they people that came over preserved the traditions of their native country. Over time however, Italians seemed to have moved away to other places. There are but a few place, shops and eateries left. Chinatown seems to have overrun everything. But China Town has a style and energy of it's own that's worth the stroll through it.
deal!
Meleah - and away we go!
