Well my dear readers, after blogging for over a year and guest blogging on several other blogs, the work is finally paying off.

People in the Sun was nice enough to mention me for the Thinking Blogger Award. This distinction is given to blogs that make you think or as People in the Sun puts it, this blog is:

Qmusings: This lovely lady always has something to say about life's quirks. You know, the kind of stuff you encounter everyday but fail to realize until someone points it out to you.
Momma Mia, Mea Culpa: Meleah's blog is one that I've just started reading and I'm totally engrossed by it. A single mother, a writer and a soul that's lived a day or 2 in her life to boot. I like her. She's the real deal and she's got a great sense of humor. Her book is going to be great. Check her out and wish her well. She's been sick.
Ruminations: How can I let Irisi slip through when she came to my rescue not so long ago. Ruminations is a great personal blog that I've been reading for some time. She's not your average 20 something. Irisi has been sick also. Stop by and wish her well too.
Maya Escobar: This performance artist tackles the tough issues facing women, racial stereotypes and her identity as a Jewish/Latina woman. Feisty, funny, talented...but don't you dare call her spicy!
The Blogitzer
OK so the Thinking Blogger Award was great but let's not stop there. I've been nominated for the Bloggers Choice Awards for best Blogitzer. What's a blogitzer? A blogger who demonstrates good writing ability. Right now I have a pathetic 6 votes. Outrageous, yes? Well here's something that'll make your skin crawl; there are blogs ahead of me that are about peoples cats or about nothing interesting at all! Are you, dear readers, going to stand for that?!?! Is a story about Ms.Whiskers better than some of my stories which involve real life action, danger and suspense? Have any of these people told a person who pointed a gun at them to go fuck themselves? I think not!!!! If you'd rather read stories about someone who sent their kid off to nursery school and then went home, fine. I'll be taking a nap because that's BORING! VOTE FOR ME in the upper right hand corner. I shall obey. I am a huge fan of some of those blogs--a few I don't know, but now I will investigate. Leon's blog deserves the nomination--he covers everything. And Irisi is so great to read. Maya handles VERY TOUGH STUFF. I will read the other 2. If Ricardo says you are good, then you are.

Sure just click on the blogitzer button above my profile and you'll go to a screen that has my blog nomination. At the top it says sign in or sign up. You'll have to sign up but it's not a lengthy process. It's done to prevent double votes.
I was with Irisi - no big clue abou the BC awards. Just checked it out and will have to sign up because YEAH, I think your blog is great and you write so well you make it look easy.

I'll vote for you Ricardo. However, I still need more convincing from Hilary. I do know one thing....... I'm discusted with the Republican party. I've been a Republican all of my life but I'm switching to the Independent or the Green party as soon as possible. Sorry, I just had to unload.
